The MMIT Kasganj organized an industrial visit to Neoli Sugar Factory on 11th February 2025 for students of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electronics Engineering. The visit aimed to provide students with practical exposure to the sugar manufacturing process and its industrial operations. During the visit, students witnessed various stages of sugar production, including sugarcane crushing, juice extraction, purification, crystallization, and packaging. The factory experts explained the machinery, automation processes, and quality control measures that ensure high production efficiency. Additionally, students gained insights into by-product utilization, such as molasses for ethanol production and bagasse for power generation. The session also covered sustainability practices in the sugar industry, focusing on waste management and energy conservation.This visit enhanced the students’ understanding of industrial workflows, machinery operations, and real-world applications of their academic knowledge. Overall, the visit to Neoli Sugar Factory was a valuable experiential learning opportunity, bridging the gap between theoretical concepts and industrial applications.
