NCC

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is not a Para-Military organization. It is a youth development movement. It has enormous potential for nation building. The NCC provides opportunities to the youth of the country for their all-round development with a sense of Duty and Discipline, Commitment, Dedication, and Moral Values so that they become able leaders and useful citizens.

The NCC provides exposure to the cadets in a wide range of activities., with a distinct emphasis on Social Services, Discipline and Adventure Training. It has emerged as the biggest uniformed youth organization of the country symbolizing its motto Unity and Discipline.

NCC stretches its hands to the sectors like

  • Community development
  • Social work
  • Health and hygine awareness

NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME

National Service Scheme, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports Govt. of India, popularly known as NSS was launched in Gandhiji’s Birth Centenary Year 1969, in 37 Universities involving 40,000 students with primary focus on the development of personality of students through community service. Today, NSS has more than 3.2 million student volunteers on its roll spread over 298 Universities and 42 (+2) Senior Secondary Councils and Directorate of Vocational Education all over the country. From its inception, more than 3.75 crores students from Universities, Colleges and Institutions of higher learning have benefited from the NSS activities, as student volunteers.

SPORTS & CO- CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Apart from academic activities, sports and other co-curricular activities are organized in the institute as per institute calendar, for all round development of the students. Each session, annual sports meet is organized in the institute. Also, the students participate in Debate competition, Annual Function and other programmes. Institute Magazine “Darpan” is also published each year, in which students provide literary articles of their interest, thus

ANTI RAGGING CELL

Ragging has ruined countless innocent lives and careers. In order to eradicate it, Hon’ble Supreme Court in Civil Appeal No. 887 of 2009, passed the judgement wherein guidelines were issued for setting up of a Central Crisis Hotline and Anti-Ragging database.

As per the guidelines, various committees such as Anti-ragging committee, Anti-ragging squad, Counselors, Anti-grievance committee etc are constituted in the institute and working with full efficiency making the campus RAGGING FREE. No ragging incidence has been reported for last many years.
